Terms of Use

1. Who we are
Scholarleveling (“we”, “us”, “the platform”) is an online learning platform operated by Scholarleveling Nig Ltd, Nigeria. It connects students and parents with vetted teachers for recorded lessons, live classes, tests, virtual labs, the English Lab and learning tools. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
Give accurate information when you sign up and keep your password private. Students under 18 must use the platform with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us at once if you think someone else has access to it.
3. Teachers
Teacher accounts are reviewed before they can publish courses. We may approve, decline, suspend or remove a teacher account. Teachers must upload only content they have the right to use, keep their conduct professional, and never contact students outside the platform for inappropriate purposes. Payout details are used only to pay teachers through Paystack.
4. The System (our AI)
- “The System” is the name of Scholarleveling's AI features: study help, explanations, marking of written work and essays, speaking practice, question drafting for teachers and daily quests.
- The System helps you learn; it does not do graded work for you. Its answers and marks can be wrong. They are practice feedback — not official grades and never a prediction of WAEC, NECO, JAMB, SAT or any other exam result.
- To keep the service fair and affordable, each person has a daily and monthly allowance with the System, and we may slow down, limit or pause use that looks like misuse.
- Do not send the System personal information about other people, or try to make it produce harmful, dishonest or unrelated content.
- Teachers must check AI-drafted questions before publishing them.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to harass or bully anyone, share exam-malpractice material or leaked papers, upload harmful, sexual, violent or unlawful content, attempt to break or bypass security or usage limits, create fake accounts, or use the platform for anything other than learning and teaching.
Keeping children safe. All lessons happen online through Scholarleveling. Teachers must not ask scholars for phone numbers, social media, photos or to meet in person, and must not arrange lessons outside the platform with scholars they met here. Teachers of Nursery & KG and Lower Elementary sign a child-safety pledge, and private messages between teachers and these young scholars are switched off (class chat and marked work stay open). Report any concern to our support team; we may pause an account while we look into it.
6. Payments
- Lesson fees: each teacher sets a monthly fee. Parents pay by card, bank transfer or USSD through Paystack; the money is settled to the teacher's bank account.
- Platform charges: for students who found their teacher on Scholarleveling we keep a commission from each fee payment; for students a teacher brings, the teacher pays a monthly plan instead. A student is never charged both ways. Current rates are shown on the Pricing page.
- Subscriptions and services: the virtual lab, English Lab plans, exam banks, recording storage, class notes and term reports are paid monthly, per term or once, as shown before you buy. There are no automatic charges — you pay for each period you want. A parent may pay using a pay link.
- Refunds: arranged with our support team within 7 days of payment for services not yet used, and paid back to whoever made the payment (usually the parent or guardian). Where a refund covers money already settled to a teacher, the teacher's share is recovered from their next payments.
7. Recordings, class notes and children
Class recordings belong to the teacher and are stored in the teacher's own Google Drive or, if they choose, in Scholarleveling storage. A class with children under 18 is only recorded for sharing outside the platform, or written down by class notes, when a parent has given permission. Parents can withdraw permission at any time. If a storage plan is not renewed, recordings become read-only for 30 days, three email reminders are sent, and then they are deleted.
8. Content and intellectual property
Teachers keep ownership of the content they create and give us permission to host and show it to enrolled students. Practice questions, labs and the English Lab are original Scholarleveling material written to the style of public syllabuses; they are not official past papers. Blog authors keep ownership of their articles and give us permission to publish them on the platform and blog. You may not copy, resell or redistribute platform content without permission.
9. Levels, XP and quests
Levels, XP, badges, streaks, trophies and daily quests are motivational features with no cash value. We may adjust them to keep them fair, including removing XP gained by misuse.
10. Ending or suspending access
You may close your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
11. Availability and liability
We work to keep the platform running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, exam outcomes, or problems caused by third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer-protection law.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will show the new date here and tell you in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
