Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 September 2026 · Terms of Use · Blog · Open the app

Scholarleveling is an online school for primary and secondary learners in Nigeria. Many of our users are under 18, so we collect as little as we can, never sell personal data, and let parents review or delete their child's information at any time. This policy follows the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

1. Who we are

Scholarleveling (“we”, “us”) is operated by Scholarleveling Nig Ltd, No. 17 Off Redeemer’s Junction Street, Okpanam Road, Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at scholarlevelling@gmail.com.

4. The System (our AI) and the companies that power it

“The System” is the name of Scholarleveling's AI features. To provide them, the text or audio you send is processed by specialist AI providers acting on our instructions (“data processors”):

We send only what is needed for the task (not your contact details), we instruct the System to help with learning only, and we limit how much each person can use it. AI feedback can be wrong: it is practice feedback, not an official grade or a prediction of exam results.

5. Google account data

If you sign in with Google or connect Google Drive, we receive your name, email address and profile picture, and — only if you choose to connect Drive — access to the specific files you create or open with Scholarleveling (the drive.file permission). We use this only to sign you in and to save and show your own lesson videos, class work and records. We do not read other files in your Drive.

Scholarleveling's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

6. Who can see your information

We do not sell or rent personal data.

7. Children

Students under 18 should use Scholarleveling with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. We collect only what is needed for learning, keep contact details away from other users, and ask for a parent's consent before a child's class is recorded for sharing or written down by class notes. A parent or guardian can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete their child's information.

8. Where data is stored

Our providers store data on secure servers that may be outside Nigeria (for example in Europe or the United States). Where data leaves Nigeria we rely on the providers' contractual and security safeguards as permitted by the NDPA.

9. How long we keep it

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (https). Every table is protected by per-user access rules so people can reach only what their role allows. Secret keys for our providers are kept on the server, never in the app. Sessions sign out after inactivity.

11. Your rights

Under the NDPA you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your data, object to certain uses, and withdraw consent at any time. Email scholarlevelling@gmail.com; we reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our answer you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).

12. Cookies and local storage

We use only essential browser storage: keeping you signed in, remembering settings, saving drafts and letting the app open with a weak connection. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and the visitor counting described in section 13 sets no cookies at all.

13. Keeping the app working, and counting visitors

Two services help us find faults and understand how busy the site is. Neither shows us anything you write, and neither records your screen.

We do not use session recording or replay anywhere in Scholarleveling. If either service is switched off, nothing at all is sent to it.

14. Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above and tell you in the app.
